What features make democracy A popular form of Government?
why wouldn't the same features be possible in authoritarian government?

Democracy is of the people ,for the people and by the people.In democracy, there is distribution of power between central and state government and even there is local government too which helps to solve people's problem in village.As distribution of power reduces the possibility of conflict among various social group.It also provide a platform to the people to deliver their thoughts and ideas to the government regarding new laws .But if we talk about other form of government like authoritarian or unitary govt then these facilities are not provided by them .And hence democracy is considered as a best form of government.☺☺☺
