The features which make the Northern plain suitable for agricultural are following:-
(1) The major rivers namely the Indus, the Ganga and the Brahmaputra rivers along with their tributaries carry out alluvial soil along with them and deposits it into the Northern plain which makes the soil fertile.
(2) This region has a very vast system of rivers and adequate water supply.
(3) The Northern plain has a favourable climate for agriculture.
