Archaeopteryx is called a connecting link between reptiles and birds as it represented characters of both the groups. It has feathers and a beak like birds . But like reptiles it has a long tail, jaws full of teeth, claws on fore fingers . It is so because archaeopteryx has both the features of a bird and a reptile.
