What form of government was represented by Egyptian pharaohs, in that they were both political leaders and religious figures?

Theocracy.

It is a form of government where religion is the central source that drives all the social institutions. It is mostly a government rules by the Priests in name of God. During the Pharaoh period, this form of government was prevelant in the society where there were both political as well as religious figures running the state matters.

Theocracy is the form of government in which they follow the God.


There is a diety who is considered to be the supreme ruler of the place, he is worshipped and followed by one and all.  


These figures were followed as supreme powers in the theocracy system of government.
