What fraction of a day is 8 hours? What fraction of an hour is 40 minutes?

1 Hour = 60 minutes

So, 8 hours = 60+60+60+60+60+60+60+60

or

= 8x60

= 480 minutes

Therefore, 480÷40

= 42/1 Ans
