Triangle area = 1/2 * (base) *(height)

= 1/2 * (b) *(a/2)

= ab/4. .....@1

rectangle area = length*breadth

= (a/2)*(b)

= ab/2

=> total area of shaded region = ab/4 + ab/2

=> 3ab/4

=> ab(3/4)

here ab is total area of whole rectangle, so that 3/4 part is shaded.

=> 3/4 = 75%
