Heya buddy !¡!¡

Here's the answer you are looking for

When we do vigorous exercise, the required amount of oxygen doesn't reach our body and hence to provide energy our body breaks down glucose to form lactic acid anaerobically.

After the exercise when we rest, this lactic acid travels through our blood stream and our liver absorbs or soaks all those lactic acid to convert them into usable form as lactic acid is useless for our muscles. While we rest, our liver oxidises lactic acid to form pyruvate through a reaction catalyzed by an enzyme called lactate dehydrogenase. Pyruvate is a salt or ester of pyruvic acid which is used in metabolic reactions like glycolysis.

As we rest after a long time of exercise There is the excess of oxygen available for our body so the lactic acid again becomes Lactate (this is present in our body)
