what happen when a piece of iron metal is placed in copper sulphate solution name type of reaction involved

When iron is placed in copper sulphate, iron displaces copper from copper sulphate solution and forms ferrous sulphate....

The type of reaction involved is displacement reaction.....

when iron metal is placed in copper sulphate solution then it forms ferrous sulphate and copper.
fe+so4= feso4 +cu..
copper is displaced by iron so this reaction is a example of displacement reaction...
