What happen when carbon dioxide gas is passed through lime water in small amount and in excess?

when CO2 is passed through lime water in small amount,it turns milky because of the formation of calcium carbonate which is insoluble in water and also remains suspended.When CO2 is passed in excess, it results in the formation of calcium bicarbonate which water soluble and thus,the milkiness disappears
