what happen when carbon dioxide is passed through the lime water? write the chemical equation for the change.

shraddha33204: Ca(OH)2(aq) + CO2(g) → CaCO3(s) + H2O(l)
shraddha33204: milky solution
ronitsood: at the level of grade 7
sparsh3303: when Co2 is added to add water, it becomes lime milky due to insoluble calcium carbonate. Rxn Ca(OH)2 + Co2 - - CaCO3 +H2O
shraddha33204: i think same answer should come

Co2+ca0----->CaCO3..
It turns milky..

parasrao: Ca(oh)2+CO2 give rise to CaCO3 +water is the correct answer
ronitsood: no
parasrao: this is correct answer bro
parasrao: see in S chand book's page no. 58
parasrao: what about the answer
parasrao: how are you bro
parasrao: hello

when carbon di oxide is passed through lime water(ca(OH)2) forms calcium carbonate and releases carbon di oxide gas.
Ca(OH)2+co2=CaCO3+CO2
