What happen when dry apricot are left for sometime in pure water and later transferred to sugar solution

when the dry apricot is left in pure water for sometime it will get swell a little due to endosmosis and when it is transferred to a sugar solution it will shrink due to exosmosis.

When a dry apricot is placed in pure water as water enters the apricot...
endosmosis takes place...deplasmolysis takes place and the apricot becomes turgid..
when it is placed inside a sugar solution...the concentration of sugar is much more than pure water...so..it shrinks..due to exosmosis..as it is placed in a hypertonic solution...plasmolysis takes place and the apricot becomes flaccid...
