☺️☺️Once proteins, fats and carbohydrates are digested, absorption takes place in the small intestine. Most of the digestion occurs in the first part of the small intestine while the absorption of broken down nutrients, water, vitamins, and minerals occurs in the rest of it.☺️☺️

When food enters doudenum then it is made basic by the addition of bicarbonate ions by duodenum walls. Also digestion of food takes place here like carbohydrate fat and proteins are broken down by the action of enzymes.
