if we dip iron nails in copper sulphate solution the iron will displace copper from its solution..... following reaction will take place

Therefore, the above reaction shows that the blue colour of copper sulphate solution fades and it turns light green due to formation of Iron(II)sulphate. Iron nail acquire reddish brown coating as a result of displacement reaction
