1.sodium(Na) is reactive metal when it react with oxygen(O2) in the air a white solid mixture of sodiumoxide (Na2O) and sodium peroxide (Na2O2) is formed.
chemical equation:
for sodiumoxide
4Na+O2----2Na2O
for sodium peroxide:
2Na+O2----Na2O2
2.when sulpher react with oxygen:
reaction between sulphur and oxygen is a chemical reaction in which gentle heating sulphur burns in oxygen to provide a colourless sulphurdioxide gas with a pale blue flame.
S+O2 ----SO2
but it is not very stable react further with oxygen and give sulphur trioxide.
2SO2+O2-----2SO2
3.when aluminium metal is added to diluted HCL ,it displace hydrogen from the acid and form aluminium chloride(AlCl3) and hydrogen gas.
2Al(s)+6HCl(aq)-2AlCl3(aq)+3H2(g)
chemical equation:
for sodiumoxide
4Na+O2----2Na2O
for sodium peroxide:
2Na+O2----Na2O2
