This grant will fund his on-going efforts to develop a catalyst that can use the energy from sunlight to break down water into hydrogen and oxygen. When water is broken down, or decomposed, it produces hydrogen and oxygen. When hydrogen is combusted, it uses oxygen to produce water and energy.

Hope it helps!!!
