At school, students were taught to worship Adolf Hitler. All textbooks

reflected the Nazi ideology. Children were encouraged to wear Hitler Youth and

German Girls' League uniforms to school. School noticeboards were covered with

Nazi propaganda posters.

            Education in "racial

awareness" was given in schools and children were constantly reminded of

their racial duties to the "national community". Biology and

political education were compulsory. Children were taught about "worthy"

and "unworthy" races.

The ultimate purpose of education was to fashion citizens conscious of the glory of the country and filled with fanatical devotion to the national cause. Courage in battle, sacrifice for a greater cause, boundless admiration for the Leader and hatred of Germany's enemies, the Jews were the central themes of teaching history.

under Nazism, this is what happened in schools :-

  • at first, Jews and Aryans students weren't allowed to sit together, play together etc. they considered Jews undesirable.

  • they were also restricted from several rights which were enjoyed by other desirable students.

  • later Nazis wanted to purify their schools by throwing all Jewish teachers and students out of the school. Jews started studying in different schools.

  • books were rewritten and they were taught to hate Jews and worship Hitler. many wrong things were written against Jews just to create hatred.
