*The partition chaos
*Migration of people across the border about millions migrated
*The problem of job, food, healthcare, and housing faced by newly formed states, most devastating was massacre of people
*The problem of marking of actual partition line
*Division of assets ,military, and resources
*Post consolidation of all princely states and independent states
*Formation of constituent assembly to create CONSTITUTION
*And the most important was emotional and psychological setback due to loss of near and dear one and also to leaders due to partition of nation.

first thing that happened after independence was partition.

Though india got so called independence on 15th August 1947, the line of partition, radcliffe line was published only on 17th August 1947.
