Saint Peter became angry at her(old lady) greed because she did not give a piece of cake to Saint Peter to satiate his hunger. Because everytime after baking the cake she always find it as big, so she started making cake small and small till it converted into a wafer.

When he cursed the lady, she turned into a bird.
