after the absorption from semi digested food in small intestine it is removed by the anus from the body.

the semi digested food that enters the stomach is called bolus.
stomach secret gastric juice which contains 4 things :-
1) pepsinogen :- it is the inactive form of enzyme Pepsin. it acts on proteins and break them down into polypeptides.
2) HCl:- it creates an acidic medium for pepsinogen to become active and digest proteins. it also kills the bacteria.
3) mucus:- mucus protects the inner lining of stomach from its own secretion of HCl. if mucus is not secreted then the inner lining of stomach will get burned and cause ulcers.
4) renin :- the enzyme renin acts on acts on polypeptides and convert them into peptides.
this digested food is now called chyme.
