as zinc sulphate solution comes lower in series thus it wont be able to displce copper and thus no reaction will take place

When copper turning are put into zinc sulphate solution no reaction takes place.

  • A metal that is more reactive than another metal can displace the other metal.
  • In the reactivity series, Cu lies below Zn which means Cu is less reactive than Zn. So, Cu can not displace zinc.
  • Thus if we put Cu turning in zinc sulphate solution it can't displace the zinc from its solution and no reaction takes place.
