The axon terminal has a bulb like structure called Telo dendron which have vesicles filled with neurotransmitters. For example, Acetylcolin and Adrenaline.
So, At the synapse between two neurons these vesicles transmits the impulse to the dendrites of other neuron. In short, it helps in transmission of impulses from brain to other parts of body and vice versa.
