What happens? Chlorine gas is passed through dry slaked lime

Slaked lime is calcium hydroxide. When Chlorine is passed through it, Calcium hypochlorite is formed which is acomponent of bleaching powder.

2 Ca(OH)2 + 2 Cl2 → Ca(OCl)2 + CaCl2 + 2 H2O
