if you forget to write the question number in exam then it totally depends upon the teacher who is checking your paper if she if she or he gets the number of your answer then he might provide you marks for that.

In your CBSE board exam, you need to write your question set number without any mistake, but if you forget to write your question number then the evaluator of your room can locate your mistake before submitting the papers.

But if the evaluator or center head do not identify your mistake then the people from the CBSE board will check the same and make the correction from their side.
