If electron transfer wouldn't have been possible then molecules would not be formed, neither molecules together would've constructed the matter and formed the universe.
It is because that every atom except noble gases have an urge to share or transfer electron and try to be more stable with less energy. Hence we do not find atoms easily inn their free state.
