Answer:

Formation of Hydrogen Gas.

Explanation:

When mixing Zn granules with an aqueous solution of NaOH we get the formation of hydrogen dioxide gas. When Zn reacts NaOH it produces “Sodium Zincate and Hydrogen gas”.

2 \mathrm{NaOH}+\mathrm{Zn} \rightarrow \mathrm{Na}_{2} \mathrm{ZnO}_{2}+\mathrm{H}_{2}

When the metal Zn reacts with NaOH it gives silver coloured sodium zincate along with Hydrogen gas which can be tested by pop test.

Hence, when 5 ml of aqueous sodium hydroxide solution is mixed with Zn granules it reacts to give sodium Zincate which is also in aqueous state and hydrogen gas.
