What happens if fuse made up of same wire which is used to make the electric curcuit

Electric circuits consist of a wire which is in big size. Fuse consist of think wire but if we use the same wire which is being used in electric circuit then the wire will not brust if there is load on electricity. It will be resulted in fire at home.

Low temperature melting point materials make fuse if the fuse make up of same wire then when light comes at High Voltage it would not melt and pass direct electricity to appliances then it damage all appliances and could be catch fire
