if iron is put into copper sulphate solution, you can notice that tha solution turns green due to the formation of a new chemical, iron sulphate.

Hello yaar,
When the Iron is dipped in CuS04 solution displacement reaction takes place i.e, Iron displaces copper to form Ferrous sulphate solution. Due to this reaction the colour of the solution becomes colourless.
