Lower fat milk is made by removing the fat, not diluting the milk with water. Add ½ quart of water to ½ quart of milk and you've diluted the fat by half, but also all the other essential the nutrients, including calcium and vitamin D.

i hope it will be use ful to you pls mark as brainly answer if it is correct

Answer:

Addition of water to milk:

  1. Adding water to milk forms a homogenous mixture as particles of milk enter the spaces between particles of the water and conversely the particles of water enter the empty spaces between the particles of milk. Thus, they mix well and form a homogeneous mixture.
  2. In addition to that, if we mix some water in milk, the density of the mixture will decrease and the relative density will also be less than the relative density of milk.
  3. It makes the milk look diluted. Milk itself contains 90% water and adding more water to milk makes it more watery.
  4. Dilution of milk with a proper amount of water reduces the level of fats in the milk. But when we dilute it with water, its nutritional level and density get reduced. Apart from that the shelf life of milk also decreases as the addition of water to milk is an invitation for many microorganisms.
  5. Lactometer is used for checking the amount of water diluted in the milk. This instrument works on the principle of the specific gravity of milk.
