What happens if plasma membrane ruptures or breaks?

asma or Cell membrane is a selectively permeable membrane i.e. it allows movement of certain materials in and out to the cell.
In case plasma membrane ruptures (like in hypertonic solution), the cell will shrivel and eventually die. At this time, lysosomes of the cell will come into action.

plasma membrane is the outer layer of the cell that separates cytoplasm from outside environment. if the plasma membrane ruputers or breaks :   
i) the cell will first lose it's shape. 
ii) it is also know as selectively permeable membrane. all useful substances will go out if the plasma membrane is broken. 
iii) cell membrane maintain's balance of all organelles in the cell. 
iv) exchange of substances will not be possible. 
v) the cell membrane will lose it's protection.
