When the eye adjusts to lower levels of light, many reversible things happen. Muscles around the iris relax and allow the pupil to dilate so that more light will enter and hit the back of the eye. ... However, reading or focusing on close objects in the dark can put strain on the eyes.

if we do long hours study at a stresss then u will face pain in ur eyes and the regions nearby. studying in too bright or too low light may cause blurry vision.
