what happens to the area of a rectangle if. 1= its length is double, breadth remain the same? 2= it's breadth is doubles, length remain the same? 3= it's length as well as its breadth is doubled?

in both first two cases the area doubles as the area of a rectangle = length×breadth .In both the cases either Length or breadth doubles therefore Area = 2×l×b therefore the area doubles ,but in the last case both the length and breadth doubles therefore Area = 2×l×2×b =4×l×b therefore the area becomes four times the initial
