Fish are warm blooded animals. They do not have much of a problem with a small change in temperature. Cold blooded animals such as snakes need to keep warm and can sometimes be seen laying on rocks to collect heat from the sun. Now fish do slow down in water that has a larger drop in temperature. They can almost become dormant, but still need to move and eat but at a much slower rate. Just like any other animal a fish could suffer from hypothermia. if you are talking about pondfish, they will survive if the water is deep enough if it is a small shallow pond it maybe better if the fish would be taken inside. If you are taking tropical fish in an aquarium it is best to keep the temperature as steady as possible. But if that is not possible they still should survive but not for a long long time. It is always best to double check with a trusted store that sells fish.

What happens to water vapor as the air temperature drops below the dew point?

Answer . As temperatures cool, water vapor comes together, and dew forms at or below the dew point... droplets of water will settle out on other objects and leave the air.. Think of air like a giant sponge - when it is warm, the air molecules get farther apart and there is room among them for water molecules. As the air cools, the molecules move closer together leaving less room for water droplets, so the excess is "squeezed out" as dew (or in more stormy and drastic conditions as rain). What Is The Average Body Temperature For Fish?

i think that the body temperature for a fish is usually the same as the ambient temperature of the water in which it naturally lives.

How does water temperature affect fish?

when water temperature is way to cold all of the organs of the fish work slower making it to do all its proccesses slower, because always hot means faster, more energy, etc while cold is always, slower less energy,etc.. so when water is hotter the fish starts to move a lot faser is respirates faster it breaths faster all of its proccesses are faster.

What happens if the air is saturated and the temperature drops?

Water from the air condenses.. Answer . you get yourself a flipping coat! or you'll freeze. Answer . It snowsHow do fish regulate their body temperature?

Fish and reptiles both regulate their body temperature behaviorally by going to areas where the temperature fits their biochemical needs, eg. sunning on rocks to raise temperature, etc. Some fish and reptiles also hibernate when temperatures get too cold.

For example, one of the symptoms of those who have hyperthyroidism (an overactive thyroid where the thyroid gland produces too much thyroid hormones) they can experience an intolerance to warm temperatures and increased perspiration.

How do bodies of water affect temperatures?

Large bodies of water such as oceans, seas, and large lakes affect the climate of an area. Water heats and cools more slowly than land. Therefore, in the summer, the coastal regions will stay-cooler and in winter warmer. A more moderate climate with a smaller temperature range is created.
