They take up a specific role and lose the ability to divide. As a result,they form a permanent tissue. This taking of a permanent shape,size and function is called differntiation.

Meristematic tissue made the cell , they are known as Meristematic cells , they have the ability to divide , they divide continuously when they don't get mature or become permanent.....
Meristematic cells are undifferentiated cells like as an example , cells of root apical meristem and cells of shoot apical meristem are the examples of undifferentiated cells...
