What happens to the density of water below 0 degree Celsius?

The density of water decreases below 0. because as the water start freezing, its hydrogen and water atoms start rearranging them self in a hexagonal structure and this structure contain more space than its structure as in water thats why its density become lesser below 0 degree C temp. .
