If a lens is dipped in such a liquid whose refractive index is smaller than refractive index of material lens then its power decreases and focal length increases but geometrical nature of lens does not change (convex lens remain convex).

Answer:

focal length depends upon refractive index of lens with respect to medium. hence, after immersing of lens in water focal length of lens increases. A convex lens made of glass is immersed in water. As a result, its focal length will increase.
