what happens to the force between two objects if mass of one object is doubled

We know that,
Force of attraction between two objects =

F = (GMm)/d²


Suppose M is doubled i.e 2M

So F2 = G2Mm/d²

or, F2 = 2 × GMm/d²

But GMm/d² = F

=> F2 = 2 × F = 2F


So we can say if mass is doubled, force is also doubled
