When heat is added to a substance, the molecules and atoms vibrate faster. As atoms vibrate faster, the space between atoms increases. The motion and spacing of the particles determines the state of matter of the substance. ... Solids, liquids and gases all expand when heat is added. Pl bna de merko Brainly

Explanation:

when molecule of solid is heated the molecule make up the solid to begin vibrate. this cause them to solid expands. If the continues heat build then the particles get max energy which makes it to break & if more energy provided it cause the solids to melt.

when the molecule of liquid is heated then the kinetic energy of particles increases cause vigrous vibration. when the temperature reaches the boiling point of the liquid it starts to boiling in which liquid phase get converted to gaseous phase.

when the molecule of gas is heated it starts to make molecule move rapidly. it causes to increase in volume and also increase in vapour pressure. if the temperature rises the gas should change into plasma.

In simple word u can say that if u provide heat to the molecule of solid , liquid & gas they start to expand...

I hoped so it will help u....thnks u for asking..
