what happens to the resistance of a conductor when it is stretched to make it longer?

when the wire is
long
or
extended
the resistance too will increase....
because as we know cross sectional area would decrease..

.............and...........

If u double the length the resistance too will be doubled....

The Resistance of the conductor increases since in a long conductor the number of collisions of free electrons with positive ions increases
