What happens to the speed of sound if the medium is changed? ​

Speed of sound depends on the media in which it is travelling. speed of sound is higher in solids. and lower in liquids and least in gases.

Sound waves travel faster in solids than in liquids ,and faster in liquids then in gases . while the density of a medium also affects the speed of sound,the elastic properties have a greater influence on the wave speed.
