Volume of cube=a³ ->(1)
When a is tripled
Volume' (new)= (3a)³
Volume'= 27 a³
From (1)
Volume'=27 Volume
Hence volume will increase 27times
When a is reduced three times
Volume'(new)= (⅓a)³
Volume new will reduced by 27 times
