what happens to your Pupil when you come from sunlight into a dark room are you able to see things as clearly as when you're in sunlight

When we come from sunlight to dark room the size of the pupil is reduced, because when we are in sunlight the light entering into the eye is more. But when we come back into a dark room the size of the pupil is back in it's same size and hence we are able to see the objects clearly in dark room also.
