what happens when a piece of copper is put in ferrous sulphate solution ? justify your answer.

Copper is less reactive than iron that's why copper wire has no effect on ferrous sulphate solution. ... Nothing will happen because Cu is less reactive than Iron.

The reaction shows that iron more reactive than copper as it displace copper from its solution and iron passes into solution as Fe (ll) ions and ferrous sulphate is formed.
