Copper sulphate is a blue coloured solution. On addition of Zinc granules/strip , displacement reaction will take place and hence the formation of zinc sulphate will occur. The colour will disappear and heat will be released(exothermic reaction). ... CuSO4 solution has a blue colour while ZnSO4 solution is colourless.
