Acids will react with reactive metals to release hydrogen and a salt
example:- 2Na+2HCl → 2NaCl+H2
When alkali (base) reacts with metal, it produces salt and hydrogen gas.
example:- 2NaoH + Zn → Na3ZnO3+H2
