What happens when an acid reacts with a metal carbonate ? Explain with the help of an example. Write

It gives out metal salt , water , and carbon dioxide . we know , when sodium carbonate reacts with hydrochloric acid , then sodium chloride , water and carbon dioxide get released .

Na2Co3 + HCl = NaCl + H2O + CO2. This is the required equation.
