When iron nails are placed in copper sulphate solution , wecknow iron is more reactive than copper so iron replace the copper from its sour solution

When iron nail is put inside copper sulphate solution iron being more reactive than copper displaces copper from CuSO4 solution

REACTION: CuSo4+Fe ---> FeSO4+Cu

OBSERVATION:The copper displaced by iron in the reaction is visible as a pink-brown precipitate that usually forms on the unreacted mass of solid iron left over
