What happens when citric acid reacts with potassium permanganate solution?

When citric acid reacts with potassium permanganate then citric acid acts as reducing agent and it will oxidised potassium permanganate. It reduces itself and do oxidation of permanganate. Citric acid is best known for its reducing agent . And commonly oxidises the substance whenReacts with substance.
