Howdy !!

your answer is ---

a) when CO2 is pass through a lime water , it turn milk due to the formation of calcium carbonate Which is insoluble in water .

Ca(OH)2 + CO2 ====> CaCO3 + H2O

b) when excess carbon dioxide is pass through a lime water the turn disappears due to the formation of calcium bicarbonate which is soluble in water.
CaCO3 + CO2+ H2O ===> Ca(HCO3)2

hope it help you
