what happens when dilute HCL is added to magnesium ribbon and also added in baking soda

Reaction of magnesium with HCL :-
Mg + 2HCl = MgCl2 + H2, evolution of gas takes place

Reaction of baking soda with HCl :-
NaHCO3 + HCl = NaCl + CO2 + H2O, evolution of carbon dioxide gas take place.
