Egg shell contains CaCO3 i.e. calcium carbonate.
When nitric acid reacts with CaCO3 there is formation of Carbon dioxide, calcium nitrate and water.

Reaction:
2HNO3 + CaCO3 ===> Ca(NO3)2 + CO2 + H2O
